雖然小姨的學歷比我高，但她會讀的英語卻只有可憐的一小撮。爲了讓小姨也能跟上時代，有事沒事說兩句英語，我就給小姨當了一回臨時小老師，教她學英語。

跟我讀，each，each。我說。each，什麼意思？的意思。小姨哦了一聲，低下頭在本子上記下幾筆。再多練幾遍，小姨！小姨一邊看着本子一邊念：each，each。唔，不錯。再來下一個。桃子，peach。我大聲說。peach，peach。小姨跟着讀了兩遍，又在本子上寫了些什麼。

我繼續教小姨，她讀得挺認真，但總是要在本子上寫一寫。我可不管這麼多，只要她讀對就行了。最後，我要小姨把剛纔學的單詞讀一遍，她照着那個小本子，一個一個地念，居然全讀對了。我興奮得一蹦三尺高，這個小老師當得真不錯！

吃過晚飯，小姨洗衣服去了，我偷偷拿起小姨的本子，想看看她到底寫了什麼。真是不看不知道，一看嚇一跳――each一尺，桃子僻起

我又好氣又好笑地對小姨說：要你學英語，不是漢字！給單詞註上漢字怎麼能學好呢？小姨有點理虧地說：可我光看單詞不會讀呀！我只好又不厭其煩地教小姨認音標讀單詞。

也怪，小姨的單詞越學越好，胃口也大了。於是，我又開始教小姨英語句子。有時候，小姨學着學着就會嘮叨幾句：這外國人說話真麻煩，亂七八糟，連順序都沒有！不過說白了，媽媽學習的勁頭足足的，很快在我的指導下掌握了一些英語句子。

The pudding is then wrapped with bamboo leaves, bound with a kind of raffia and boiled in salt water for hours.
