事業篇--冠勇
1。A bully is always a coward. 只有懦夫纔會恃強凜弱。
2。Courage is fire, bullying is smoke. 勇氣是火，威嚇是煙。
3。Danger itself the best remedy of danger. 冒險是消除危險的最好方法。
4。The devil take the hindmost. 落後者遭殃。
[注] 這句諺語的完全形式是：
Every man for himself, and the devil take the hindmost.人人顧自己，落後者遭殃。
5。When Greek meets Greek, then comes the tug of war. 兩強相遇，必有苦鬥。
6。Every cock crows on his own dunghill. 公雞都在它自己的地盤上啼叫。
[注] 這句諺語的另一種形式是：
Every cock is bold on his own dunghill. 公雞都在它自己的地盤上逞英雄。
意即在安全和熟悉的環境裏，每個人都能吹噓自己的勇氣，因爲他的勇氣不會得到檢驗。
7。Faint heart never won fair lady. 懦夫難贏美人心。
[注] 這句話用來鼓勵靦腆的追求者。
8。None but the brave deserves the fair. 唯有英雄配美人。
9。Fortune favours the bold. 勇者天佑。
10。He that fears every bush must never go abirding. 害怕叢林，就別去打鳥。
11。He that fears death lives not. 畏死不如不生。（或：怕死的人活者也沒有樂趣。）
12。If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again. 如果開頭失利，還須繼續努力。
13。Might is right. 強權即公理。
[注] 意指強者總是有理。
美國總統林肯說過：
It has been said of the world's history hitherto that might is right. It is for us and for our time ro reverse the maxim, and to say that right makes might.
迄今，關於世界的歷史，人們一直說強權即公理，現在應該讓我們，讓我們這個時代，來顛倒這種說法，讓我們說：公理即強權。
14。Nothing stake, nothing draw. 不押du注，哪能贏錢。
15。Put your foot down where you mean to stand. 退卻有限度，不能一味讓步。
16。The good seaman is known in bad weather. 狂風暴雨，方顯水手的本領。
17。The weakest goes to the wall. 強勝弱敗。
18。You're not free if you drag your chains after you. 不斬斷枷鎖，就沒有自由。
19。You never know what you can do till you try. 未試焉知力幾何。
[注] 凡事得先試試，方知可行不可行。此諺語教人不要膽怯，應努力一試。
20。God is always on the side of the big battalions. 天助強者。
