第一次看，我被裏面的人物、故事情節所吸引。第二次看，我才真正地認識了這本書，發現我能從裏面懂得一些道理。比如：遇到困難不要退縮，堅持即使勝利；團結就是力量等等。最讓我受益匪淺的道理是人要學會感恩，書中有很多感恩的'事例，如：當年孫悟空被壓在五行山下，唐僧救了它，孫悟空爲了報答唐僧，護送他去取得真經。孫悟空一路上對唐僧不離不棄，雖說有幾次發生矛盾，但他始終對唐宋忠心耿耿；唐僧感激唐王李世民，所以唐王問誰願去西天取得真經時，唐僧立馬挺身而出，在如來佛祖面前發誓不取得真經誓不罷休。

《西遊記》這本書中的主人公也很有趣。唐僧的性格沉着冷靜；豬八戒好吃懶做、性格善良；孫悟空神通廣大，樂於助人；沙和尚關鍵時刻挺身而出，總是保護師傅。總而言之，四個人都有長處和短處。俗話說：三人行，必有我師焉。我們要努力學習他們的長處，對於短處則要吸取教訓。書中的許多困難一人是解決不了的，必須要幾人一起合作才能解決。書中給我最重要的啓示是：取經途中老烏龜護送唐僧四人越過無法通過的一條河，僅僅是希望唐僧能夠問佛祖它的年壽之事。唐僧四人因只顧取得真經把這事給忘了，老龜很生氣，一氣之下將經書扔下了河……這就是忘恩負義的後果。
